Create a welcome page. It should contain:
1) "Load Data" link launches the dialog for opening files.
2) "Create Sequence" link launches "Create Document" dialog.
3) "Create Workflow" link launches the Workflow Designer.
4) "Quick Start Guide" opens the quick start guide.
5) UGENE citation opens the article in the web browser.
6) Links to social networks open the corresponding pages in the web browser.
7) Recent projects and files show several recent projects and files. If there are no recent items, the corresponding message is written instead, e.g. "There are currently no recent projects."
If an item contain an image and a caption, both of them must have a link.
Note that the welcome page will be additionally updated in 1.16, seeUGENE-3692.The Welcome Page is the first page that will appear when UGENE has been launched.
From the Welcome Page you can open files, create sequence, create workflow, open the Quick Start Guide and open recent files directly.

To return to the Welcome Page go to the Window->Start Page main menu item.
