Overview

Plasmid Auto Annotation feature allows to automatically annotate possible functional elements of the sequence such as promoters, origins of replication, known genes, common primers and other features. 

 Conceptually this functionality is similar to the one offered by PlasMapper software.

The database for plasmid auto-annotation is based on the one created at 

Plasmid Auto Annotation is a part of DNA-annotator plugin.

How to annotate features

To activate Plasmid Auto Annotation upon your sequence use the item Tools->Auto annotate.

There are options that allow to choose the type of feature to search in sequence.

The features can be quickly turned on/off using the Auto Annotation menu items.
